DuPont (www.dupont.com), a worldwide known group, is a reference producer of cosmetic's raw materials. One of these products is the range of exfoliating powders named Gotalène®.
The evolution of the Gotalène's sales, well known products on this market and more and more exposed to the competition of exfoliating natural and synthetic powders, led DuPont to work with Daydream, in order to enhance the understanding of the markets and real needs of the customers, prospective buyers and formulators.
Therefore, during several months, the project given to Daydream was to study - in France, Germany, Italy and England – the market needs, the feedback on the Gotalène range, to understand future tendencies, to validate the potential interest for innovations as for instance certified Gotalène Ecocert, while analysing in details the relations between customers, suppliers and distributors.
Thanks to a representative sample of 75 actors of the market (final customers, distributors, …), a good knowledge of the industry and a fast assimilation of the needs and challenges of DuPont, Daydream has been able to build a segmentation with the market needs, and especially to offer action plans on each of the markets.
